Privacy Policy
BLEED.FYI provides customizable public profile pages. This describes the information we collect, what we use it for, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you register, we collect your username and email address, verification and session records, the time and version of your Terms acceptance, and any optional authenticator information you configure. When you edit a profile, we store its settings, text, links, uploaded media, and publication status. Account-control and moderation events may also be recorded.
Profile analytics
For published pages, our first-party system counts qualified visits and keeps daily view totals. We temporarily process a visitor's IP address and browser user-agent to generate a keyed daily pseudonymous value, so rapid reloads from the same browser are not repeatedly counted. The analytics tables do not store raw IP addresses or user-agent strings. These hashes are rotated each day and scheduled for deletion after approximately 35 days, with cleanup performed as new visits arrive. Aggregated view counts can remain longer. Browser or network changes may affect uniqueness estimates.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, send verification and security emails, serve published pages, provide analytics, keep uploaded files associated with the proper owner, prevent abuse, and manually review profiles and reports.
What's public and what's private
Your published profile, display name, links, media, and other visible settings are public. Your email address, authentication records, unpublished profile content, and private analytics are not shown on your public profile. The site operator may access account and unpublished profile information for moderation, support, and security. Do not upload content you do not want the operator to be able to inspect.
Services that process data
Cloudflare provides web delivery, database hosting, security tools such as Turnstile, and request-level services. Resend delivers account emails. These providers may process the information needed to operate their services under their own terms and privacy practices. This site does not currently sell personal data or operate a third-party advertising tracker.
Cookies and security
We use necessary, Secure and HttpOnly session cookies to keep you signed in. The site may use temporary browser storage to transfer a guest's draft into their new account. Turnstile may use security signals to protect the forms. Cloudflare may maintain separate infrastructure and security logs; the analytics-specific retention described here does not govern those provider logs.
Keeping and deleting data
Profile and account data are retained while your account exists, subject to operational and legal requirements. You can request permanent account deletion from your authenticated Account Settings. Deletion removes the primary account records and associated media, but it cannot recall copies others have saved or guarantee immediate removal from independent backups and third-party systems. Reports may be kept for moderation, dispute, or legal purposes as necessary.
Your choices and questions
You can edit or unpublish your profile, adjust supported settings, and delete your account through the dashboard. Use the reporting page to raise concerns about account information or abuse; provide the affected username and how to follow up. Applicable privacy laws may give you additional rights. For the rules governing uploaded material, read our Terms of Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page as BLEED.FYI adds features or changes providers. The effective date above will be updated for material changes.
